APS Announces New Editor for Physical Review Special Topics − Physics Education Research (April 26, 2012)

Bob Beichner has recently stepped down as the Editor of Physical Review Special Topics - Physics Education Research (PRST-PER). As the founding Editor of PRST-PER, Bob served for seven years. Under his leadership PRST-PER has grown steadily in size and importance, and is now an established journal with growing influence. We are deeply grateful for Bob’s inspiration and energy in creating this unique journal.

We are happy to announce that Charles Henderson of Western Michigan University has agreed to take on the Editorship of PRST-PER. Charles received his Ph.D. in physics education research from the University of Minnesota in 2002. He maintains an active research program in physics education and served as the Physics Education Research Section Editor for the American Journal of Physics since 2008.

We have every expectation that Charles will continue to strengthen and develop PRST-PER, and to carry on the work begun so ably and energetically by Bob Beichner.
