Physical Review - Indexes

As a free service to the community, we offer browsable author indexes. In general, we will provide separate indexes for each journal and a combined one for all of Physical Review, Letters, and Reviews of Modern Physics. A primary entry includes article title (special characters are transliterated), complete author list (except when there are more than 40 authors), collaboration name for large collaborations, PACS numbers, and proper bibliographic citation for the article. There is also a hyperlink to the article's online-journal abstract. Secondary entries under each authors's name hyperlink to the main entry for the article.

Hyperlinking to an article's online-journal abstract is facilitated by APS's Link Manager.

The index for the current year is partial, and will be filled out as articles are published. Additional indexes will be provided on a "go-forward" basis for future years, and we may later provide indexes for past years to the extent feasible. To maximize access speed, the index files are divided into 26 alphabetical sections plus a section listing large collaborations.

The "find" feature often found in browser or file-viewer software on a user's local system can effect a rudimentary search functionality; simple searches can generally be made on author name, title phrase, PACS number, or page number. The indexes may be downloaded and saved for offline reference; this would also allow users whose local systems provide access to search engines with robust capabilities to apply them to a collection of such downloaded files.

Reviews of Modern Physics: Volumes 1-77 are available through PROLA.
