We have classically simulated the ionization and dissociation dynamics of a one-dimensional model of molecular hydrogen H2 under intense ultrashort laser pulses. The relative yields as well as the corresponding rates of the fragments have also been calculated numerically for different wavelength laser pulses (λ=1064, 532, and 266 nm) that have the same intensity (I=2.0×1015 W/cm2) and duration (Td=35 fs). We find that the intense ultrashort pulses with shorter wavelength favor the simultaneous ionization of two electrons in H2.
